Sunny Day Dress - Garden Explosion

$185.00
Limit 1 per order

This dress is bold and beautiful, and made for the wild at heart! I was stunned to find a SFERRA 1891 duvet at my local thrift, and I knew immediately that I wanted to make a dress with it. I added a ruffle to the bottom hem for a fully whimsical garment!

The Sunny Day dress is my first completely self-made pattern. It is designed to; fit many different bodies, have adjustable neckline/shoulder straps to alter where it sits, be roomy and comfortable to wear, and of course it has pockets! Strap is continuous and runs through front and back neck channels. Adjust the width by gathering the fabric or pulling it flat out. Tie a knot and bow in front, back, or on top of shoulder. Remove the strap for laundering, use a safety pin to thread it back through.

Flat measurements: body length (neck/strap seam to bottom hem) 31”, chest/width (armpit to armpit) 21 1/2”. Check your chest measurements, can accommodate bust width of 43”.

Upcycling vintage/secondhand textiles keeps beautiful fabrics out of landfill. Some wear and tear, discolorations, or other small imperfections may be expected and add a little to the history of the piece. Photos were taken in different lighting to show textures and better represent coloration.
